Shirenewton Event

We were recently asked to attend Shirenewton’s Annual Summer Fete.

We were delighted to have this opportunity to showcase our business in the local area. Advertising is really important to us, as it is to all new businesses, we are trying to promote and get the word out about our new business and this was the perfect setting.

THE PREP:

With very short notice we had to create a display that could be easily transported, quick to set up, stylish and of course something that looks good!

We set to work sketching out the proposed layout and ideas.

The next step was to create this very rough sketch into something real.

The first stage was to select our chosen fabrics and wallpapers. Today Interiors supplied us with a range of gorgeous wallpaper samples which we could hang on our display boards. Cole and Son supplied us with wallpaper drops which we could use as display lengths on the sides of the marquee. Our back wall display was covered in stunning fabrics from Kai and Ashley wilde.

THE DAY:

The day went really well. The Fete has a great footfall and we were so pleased with the positive response that our display received.

The atmosphere on the day was brilliant. It was a true family event with live music, dog shows, sheep racing, Street food, Carnival and business showcases such as Landrover and Aeros flight training academy.

It was really important for us to showcase a range of services from fabrics, wallpapers, paints to design service details.

Our aim was to educate potential clients of our design services. What we offer and what we charge. All of our design services have a fee that is refunded if the client decides to go ahead with their project. This enables us to offer our services to clients with a range of budgets.

We also wanted to showcase the vast range of suppliers. This was particularly tricky as, of course, we couldn’t take everything with us!

We managed to showcase Today Interiors with wallpaper drops and fabric books, Cole and Son with fantastic wallpaper drops complimented by a large range of wallpaper books. We also showcased Little Greene who kindly sponsored our goodybags.

The other suppliers we were able to showcase were: Jones, Ashley Wilde, Kai, Andrew Martin, Morris & Co, Zoffany, Sanderson, Harlequin, Warwick, James Hare and Designers Guild.

Our third aim was to promote our curtain & blind making, bespoke headboards, bespoke furniture and upholstery services. These services all come with a free consultation where we bring books and samples and present them to you in the comfort of the client’s home.

Overall I think that the event went really well and we managed to promote our services to a range of potential clients. I would thoroughly recommend any small business to do an advertising event as it really does help to get your company name out there!
